Here is a link to some nice pictures from the Sun Peaks trip. There isn't really any story to tell, beyond the captions in the pictures. I think you can tell we were having a great time and some nice weather. New snow almost every day - except Friday, which was icy. But that's when we left, anyway. If you click on the picture, it will only open that picture. You have to click on the link below the picture to see the entire slide show. |

Sun Peaks, BC, Canada
We're off to Sun Peaks tomorrow. If you click on the map, it will enlarge, and you can do all the usual things you can do with a Google Map. It's a really nice area of BC. The satellite pictures are from summer, but you can see the ski runs - and the golf course.
It's about 5 1/2 hours to drive, and in the past it has been easy, low traffic driving on good highways through beautiful country. Since we're traveling east through BC, we don't even cross the border on I-5 - we use one of the smaller crossings further east in Sumas. This also means we enter BC in a more rural, low traffic area.
I may post pictures while we're there. I'll let you know if I do. There are some nice pictures at the Sun Peaks home page. The picture on the main page is actually a slide show - it will start playing if you stay there long enough, or you can click through it. We are staying at the Fireside Lodge, where we've stayed before.
